Rosedale has given me such an new appreciation for hymns. #73 "Be Still, My Soul" has become a hymn that is very dear to my heart.

Verse 1

Be still, my soul! the Lord is on thy side

Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain

Leave to they God to order and provide,

In every change He faithful will remain.

Be still, my soul! thy best, they heavenly Friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Verse 2

Be still, my soul! thy God doth undertake

To guide the future as He has the past.

Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake

All now mysterious shall be bright at last.

Be still, my soul! the waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

term 3 is here and is almost halfway over! i understand why this term is called the "party term." there is a lot of homework but there is a party every night. we might have to move our party elsewhere because we are always way too loud. but it is always a blast and is never without lots of food. so for those of you who are not here, don't be surprised if i look a little wider when i come home.
this weekend is wonderful! it is spiritual emphasis weekend. matt showalter is in from the great warm state of FL. He is teaching on the greatest commandment. isn't it amazing that when we cry out to God, He always gives us just what we need? Our God is great all the time.

*solitary commitment is marked by Obedience as we unconditionally let go and let God.
* I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
and each road leads you where you want to go,
and if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
and if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' 'til you find the window,
if it's cold outside,
show the world the warmth of your smile...miss you lots

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline. 2 Tim. 1: 7

one thing  I seem to have now a days...TIME. Time to do whatever I want, or whatever my parents want me to do. =) I love being home with my family and friends. It is so relaxing. Shopping is one thing that is not relaxing. I was thinking about passing a law that no one could come into PA to shop because there are already enough people here. The malls are "terribly" crowded.  Somehow I don't think it is going to pass. Oh well. May God teach me patience.
A few pictures of my life thus far:

driving back and forth to rosedale is fun. Debbie and I put the others to sleep.
Pictured: Dana and Kelsey

Ash and I at Banquet. Fun times, good food, great friends!
Ash are you still sleeping in?

having visitors is awful fun.
Beth (I'm going to miss you lots), Sonya, and my buddy Kim

we finally made the pyramid!

and last, but for sure not least,
 Hans and I at banquet

that about raps things up for me for now. I miss all the RBC people like mad but one more than others...Have a wonderful x-mas everyone!

Don't worry I'm still alive...by the grace of God.

If I have time, I'll write more later...

decided to take a break from xanga cause it would cut into my studying time but here i am. =) three weeks in to Rosedale and I absolutely love it. God has surrounded me with great people. classes are going pretty well. my roommate ashley root is great! we have a lot in common. both of us are pretty laid back, love rook, love volleyball -what more could a mennonite girl ask for? =) i don't know what i would do without her.

this past weekend was pretty sweet. it almost started thursday night when kate and beth slept over in our room and we stayed up late talking about...fun stuff. then on friday night a group of us went down to the columbus. pretty much my home away from home in Ohio. it was fun soaking in the city lights and walking the streets. at the river we just sat in silence. peaceful. the most adventurous part was when the car wouldn't start and my dear friend chris from the send house rescued us. good times =) saturday shell came and we had a blast. going to the picnic and playing ultimate, just being with her was great. nothing felt more like home than when sunday rolled around and Lem, Chris, Keith, Shell and I took the drive up to see Jeremy and Sarah. we shocked them out of their minds. pretty sweet i must say. it felt like old times. i really hope they move down here to ohio.

i will have to put up pics next time.  i guess this is an update to let you know i'm still alive, i'm surrounded my good people and learning more about God. I love you all!
